Review: Nivea Visage Cleansing Milk Make Up Remover

This post has been sitting on my drafts for months now so I'm publishing this tonight before I really really forget all about it :)

As most of you ladies know, once you explore the world of make up, sooner than later you also have to find the best make up remover there is. Not necessarily the most expensive, mind you. But just something that will do the right work for you.  I mean, as we try to find ways and ways to make our beautiful make up lasts as long as it could with primers and use products that are practically water-proof, smudge-proof and even sweat-proof, at the end of the day you'd have to know that your daily facial wash just wouldn't be able to remove all of it for you. And we all know the Golden Rule, right? Never ever sleep with your make up on!

Being a practical person that I am, I was glad when I chance upon this Nivea Visage Sensitive Balance Cleansing Milk make up remover along the beauty aisles of Robinson's Galleria sometime last year.

What it says at the back of the bottle:

"How does it work?
*This cleansing milk works by gently removing make up and deeply cleansing away daily impurities.
*Its soothing Licorice provides relief from tightness and irritation & its Balancing Complex helps reduce skin sensitivity.

Beauty Advice:

*To remove make up: Apply on fingertips or cotton pad & gently wipe off.
*To cleanse: Apply on wet face and gently massage into the skin, rinse off after."

Simple, right?

how the cleansing milk looks like
Its consistency is just about right - not too thick and not too thin, that it makes it easy to spread over the entire face (and neck).

shows how much dirt and make up it can remove
This has been one of my go-to make up remover for months now, a definite staple on my vanity.  It can remove my make up for the entire day, from my foundation to my water-proof mascara and liners and sometimes even use it to remove lip stains from my lipstick. I also like the fact that it is free from fragrance, colourants and alcohol (prolly why there is no tightness after-feel). But the one thing I love about this is, I find it moisturizing on my dry combination skin. The only lowdown for me is that it can sting your eyes if you don't keep your it shut while removing your eye make up. Once this happens, just quickly wash/rinse with water.

Well,  I've always loved Nivea products and it's no surprise that I fell for this one, too!  For less than P300 per 200 ml pump bottle, I'd say this is a sweet deal, don't you think?
